What better place to start than at Regents Park in central London.

London Zoo

(Regent's Park, London NW1 4RY)

A number of crabs may be found in the Aquarium, however the new Web of Life exhibit also houses the large Robber Crab. Birgus latro.

A short trip on the Bakerloo Line from Regent's Park station to Embankment station, over Hungerford Bridge and then on to our next stop.

London Aquarium
(County Hall, London)

Here Spider Crabs, Shore Crabs and sometimes even a Chinese Mitten Crab may be viewed. A black mark for the Aquarium is that they won't allow crabs to be adopted on their animal adoption scheme. However the shop has plenty of crab merchandise.

Crossing Westminster Bridge to Westminster station, take the District/Circle Line westbound to South Kensington station to reach our next destination.

Here we find a whole section on the crustacea with some fantastic specimans, including the biggest crab you will ever see. It is here that scientists are investigating the presence of the Chinese Mitten Crab in the Thames.
