The second episode of the BBC's 'Dr Terrible's House of Horrible', is worth a mention. There is a general crab theme throughout this episode, with a giant crab (looking a lot like a Carcinus maenas), a pool of man eating crabs, and the villain who had a crabs claw for a hand....excellent!!! | ||
The 'Save-Ums' a great programme about tiny superheroes who prove that you don't have to be small to pack a punch, regularly features to crabs called Sal and Tony. | ![]() | |
| Although possibly not the greatest show on ITV, 'Celebrity Love Island' does have one redeeming feature, and that is this News Crab which can be downloaded from the website. It will bring you all the gossip direct to your PC. It's disappointing that no crabs have been seen on the island in 'Lost'. | |

In the episode 'Pit and the Pendulum' of the BBC comedy 'One Foot in the Grave', a crab is seen crawling up the leg of of Angus Deayton's shorts. He later is heard to say "Just up the hospital. To have a hermit crab surgically removed from my testicles", however the crab is clearly not an anomuran but a brachyuran!!! | ||
